Tomatoes, sunflowers and an eggplant. Just a little still life to clear my brain and rest my eyes. I am using this color palette for an interior too — the living room of my friend Anne-Joelle Galley
The Tour Eiffel and poached pears . . . a little dessert wine. Maybe I am daydreaming too much about traveling to France. I want the painting to have that kind of essence of memory so it needs to only be somewhat defined — which can be more difficult than it sounds.
This painting has been in the works for the past couple of weeks, maybe a month. Playing with perspective and color a little bit but not sure how close I am to finishing it. I will just keep working with it and hopefully have it finished by June 11 for the Art Walk in Galveston
It’s been a year since I’ve posted anything. I can’t figure out if this is done yet. I don’t think so … A bit more definition in the basket? I just want it to stay fairly clean and whimsical
I swear, this painting was better this morning before I started working on it. Ugghhhh. it’s been awhile since I felt like i’ve ruined a painting by putting more time in it. But I guess there’s always tomorrow.
I am working on a series of elements paintings, one already completed will be earth and this one will be sky. Totally not sure where it will go though. I am putting it to the side for now
This is my new lady … oil on board. She is kind of the finishing piece in my series of ladies for the plywood show. Now I just need to finish painting her …
This is the newest and I am still problem solving the bottom of the painting. And a few other aspects as well … PLYWOOD show hopefully going to happen soon
